Frequently Asked Questions
What is tallow and why should I use it on my skin?
Tallow is carefully rendered beef fat used as a rich, concentrated moisturizer. Our balms are made in small batches from tallow connected to cattle raised on Rivas Ranch. Start with a very small amount and check each product page for its full ingredient list.
Does tallow skincare feel greasy?
Tallow is rich, so the amount matters. Warm a pea sized amount or less between your fingertips and apply it to slightly damp skin. If it still feels heavy after a few minutes, use less next time.
Where does your tallow come from?
Our tallow is connected to cattle raised on Rivas Ranch in North Carolina. We render the suet and make the skincare in small batches, giving us unusual visibility from the pasture to the finished jar.
How long does shipping take?
Current processing and delivery estimates are shown in our shipping information and at checkout. Transit time depends on the destination and carrier. Contact us if an order appears delayed.
What should sensitive skin shoppers know?
Many customers choose short ingredient lists for sensitive skin, but no cosmetic is reaction proof. Review the complete ingredients, choose unscented when appropriate, and patch test a small area before wider use. Stop using any product that causes irritation.
